Missions / Evangelism
Glorifying God and local and global outreach are our central mandate as the church of Jesus Christ.
Ministry Overview
At EBC we believe that glorifying God and local and global outreach are our central mandate as the church of Jesus Christ. EBC has a strong history of not only supporting but also sending cross cultural missionaries and evangelists from our local body.
We support Baptist General Conference of Canada workers (missionaries, evangelists and church planters) who are laboring around the globe and across Canada. Some are seconded to other ministries as BGCC missionaries. One couple are non BGCC missionaries. One single missionary and one couple’s last names are withheld for security purposes. Supported workers by EBC include:
Masoud –BGCC-Vancouver
Scott and Nancy Campbell -BGCC – Quebec
Dave and Salima Cross – Interact Ministries
Connie Main Duarte -BGCC - Portugal
Michael & Eva Fast -BGCC - Philippines
Randy & Margo Hofmann-BGCC -Vancouver

Wetaskiwin Community & Region
We strive to have an impact on the community of Wetaskiwin and our region through outreach events, meeting practical needs and through relationship building in contexts where we live, work and play. Pre-covid, Ebenezer Baptist was an integral partner in a something called the “Wetaskiwin Community Festival” that was run each summer as cooperative outreach and bridge building effort by a number of Wetaskiwin churches and Christian businesses in partnership.
During and now post-covid, EBC has been running food hamper ministry from EBC where we are serving a number of families in Wetaskiwin where food security is an issue. We also regularly minister to those on the street through various means. This too has led to new relationships and an opportunity to be the “hands and feet” of Jesus in Wetaskiwin.
